Old Pointer Wonders: Enjoy the Health Benefits of Whiskey?

Old Pointer says: Health benefits of whiskey? My owners distill fine whiskey and they want you to drink it, but you know, I’m not sure they’re the sharpest tools in the shed, if you know what I mean. They actually say good whiskey has medicinal properties. Sure.

Well, one day this cute little Spaniel came into the distillery, and that little honey was from Minnesota. Her owner was a doctor who worked at the Mayo Clinic, a big, famous, fancy hospital where they make mayonnaise, and she said her owner agrees that yes, whiskey — in the proper amounts — can be good for you.

Old Pointer is Montana Whiskey Co.'s old hunting dog. Give him a scratch at our Montana distillery.

Um, yep. And here’s what he said: Alcohol and Cardiovascular Health: The Dose Makes the Poison … or the Remedy.

Disclaimer: Hey, Old Pointer, we don’t recall saying, “medicinal properties.” Though there are a few health benefits of whiskey with moderate alcohol consumption, the list of risks with heavy alcohol use is long, there are plenty of reasons to not drink at all, and if you don’t drink, don’t start. Hey, we’re Montana Whiskey Co., and we want what’s best for you! Drink responsibly!
